The frost has brought some wonderful muted colours and highlights, a changed landscape to explore which I did with my painter friend Petrina Kent from the Isle of Man. A change from cliff walks there is little frost on the island.

Blue sheep ?
No blue sheep in Wales but fantastic the way the wool caught on the wire is from the area the farmer has marked the sheep for identification. A magic moment on a wonderful walk.

Paul Nash inspiration
The landscape is all shades of textured brown with highlights of green where the paths lie. I thnk of Paul Nash and his finding beauty on an ordinary walk ..... He worked out here among the beech trees and the circles of trees among the ploughed fields. Tinges of spring are coming the catkins are in the hedges.
